Who Is Behind Serious Seeds?
The company was founded by the Dutch biologist Simon, who discovered his passion for cannabis in 1986 during his travels through Africa. He brought back his first seeds from there, laying the foundation for a private genetic library. From this collection, he began selecting promising plants. Later, while Simon was teaching biology at a school, Alan Dronkers invited him to work at Sensi Seeds. There, he built valuable connections with other breeders.
In 1995, he went independent and founded Serious Seeds. Since then, the team has focused on a small, carefully selected range of strains with high recognizability. The result: stable F1 hybrids with high germination rates, even growth, and reliable yields.
