White Widow® Feminized Seeds

White Widow® Feminized

Ingemar's legacy

White Widow is a strain that sparks more questions than any legend could ever resolve. Some insist it carries a Sativa breeze from Brazil, others point to an Indica influence hailing from South India—and still more claim multiple breeders had a hand in shaping this “classic". One fact stands clear: Since the 1990s, White Widow has reigned as a milestone in coffeeshop lore, its resin-laden buds capturing the attention of connoisseurs across the globe.

De Sjamaan’s version emphasizes an indica-heavy profile (65% Indica / 35% Sativa), delivering a sweet, berry-tinged fragrance in a 7-to-9-week flowering window. Their frosty appearance suggests fresh snowfall—a perfect reflection of the foggy history around this strain. Push through the pristine veil of legends to form your own understanding of what White Widow truly represents!

Autoflower

Autoflowering cannabis strains are hybrids with Ruderalis genetics that bloom independently of light cycles. This trait evolved as an adaptation to northern climates with short summers. Unlike photoperiod strains, which require specific light cycles to flower, autoflowers begin flowering automatically after a growth period of approximately 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the genetics. Their short lifecycle—usually around 70 to 80 days—makes them ideal for quick harvests, whether grown indoors or outdoors.

Autoflowers are popular among beginners and experienced growers alike due to their simplicity and ability to produce multiple harvests in a year. High-quality autoflowers are often resilient to cold, pests, and mold, though breeding quality plays a crucial role. Poorly bred autoflowers may be more prone to mold or stress-related issues. Their compact size (typically 75–100 cm) makes them well-suited for small spaces or discreet setups. Additionally, in regions with unpredictable weather or short summers, their rapid lifecycle allows them to bypass extreme conditions before harvest.

Photoperiod

Photoperiod cannabis strains require specific light cycles to trigger their flowering phase. In nature, this phase begins when days grow shorter—typically in late summer or autumn. The process is regulated by light-sensitive proteins called phytochromes. In indoor cultivation, growers replicate these conditions by adjusting the daily light schedule from 18 hours of light (vegetative phase) to usually 12 hours of light and darkness (flowering phase).

Photoperiod strains often offer greater variety and potency than autoflowers, as their genetic pool is broader and not limited by Ruderalis genetics. However, some autoflowers are beginning to close the gap in both potency and diversity. These strains are favored by experienced growers because they allow precise control over growth, size, yield, and cannabinoid profiles. However, they require meticulous management of light cycles, temperature, humidity, and nutrients to achieve optimal results.
