We first met Chuck at Spannabis 2025 at the Humboldt Seed Company booth - and after just a few words, we knew: this collaboration did not just feel right, it felt long overdue. He is not a loud self-promoter - but someone who has spent years working, learning, selecting, and experimenting quietly behind the scenes. His first plant grew in the woods, the next ones under fluorescent tubes from the hardware store. His first real genetics came from Samenwahl in 2001. But what started as a practical necessity - finding clean, usable weed for personal use - quickly became a life’s calling.

Today, he is one of the few breeder personalities in the German-speaking world who approaches breeding not only with passion, but also with deep expertise and scientific curiosity. When you listen to Chuck, it becomes obvious very quickly: this is someone who analyzes terpene profiles, tests extraction yields, reverses feminized lines, and still somehow finds the time to keep plants alive through winter in cups that are far too small - simply because they want to survive.

Another highlight is Theia, originally a feminized strain from Old J Seeds that Chuck selected and refined so consistently that it can almost be called a redefinition. The effect? Ironically, it was the second-best phenotype that ultimately made the cut, because the real favorite simply could not be pushed into throwing intersex traits - it was too stable.
